Ok -so your getting married.
Wouldn't it be perfect if there was team of stylist who could come to you on your wedding day. You could just sit back, munch on some fresh fruit, have a glass of champagne while a team of people made you look glamorous?
It would be fabulous. Which is why we do it.
{This is where we tell you all about how we can make you look and feel beautiful.} Our process is completed in a few simple steps. First things first, you have to call or email us.
Then from there, we schedule an obligation free, complimentary consultation. {Oh yeah, we'll come to you for that.} At the consultation we want to hear every juicy detail about your wedding. {We're just nosey like that}
Once we figure out exactly what you and your bridal party is looking for, we'll pair you with one of our 5 amazing artists {yes, they really are stellar}. From there we set up the trial run. {-We come to you for that too.} We will come and stay until we have found the look that is just right for you. I mean you are the bride, if your not happy -were not happy.
The third {& our fav step} is the wedding day. Just sit back, enjoy a glass of sparkling pomegranate juice {the stuff is de-lish} in one of our uber comfy robes with all your gal pals while we make you look like a super star.
Literally, a superstar. Did we mention that we specialize in wedding hair and makeup? You can relax knowing that we know exactly what we are doing.

"Alie has cut, styled and highlighted Shelby's hair on several occasions. Shelby has always been very pleased with the results. Alie is very professional and takes her time to ensure the style the client wants is the one they get.
Prior to Shelby's Junior Prom, Alie styled the hair of four girls at my home. It was great to have her come to us so the girls didn't have to go out to have their hair done. We know you have a lot of questions. That is why we took our sweet time answering a few of them here. if you have a question we haven't answered let us know!
-How do I know what style will best suit my dress and hair type?
That is exactly what will be discussed in our consultation. Upon meeting we will discuss some of your ideas as well as our suggestions based on your hair type. We will consider the style of your dress, if you will be incorporating a blusher and veil and most of all what flatters you.
-Should I have my wedding party all wear the same style?
All wedding parties are different, some people opt for a more consistent look with their wedding partys' hair and some allow them the freedom to choose. During the consultation we will discuss your opinions on this matter and try to find something that can be done for your party while considering everyones hair type.
-When should I schedule a consultation?
We ask our clients to set up a consultation as soon as possible. This allows us time to prepare and to make sure we are available. There is a short notice fee applied to weddings that are scheduled within 30 days.
- My hair is short, is there any way to dress it up?
We love styling short hair and since a few on our staff have short hair we are well-versed in short styling. Don't be fooled, there is plenty to be done to help dress up short hair.
-When should I wash my hair?
We suggest washing your hair the night before your wedding. It is easiest to work with if it isn't squeaky clean. It also helps with the frizz factor the day of. However, if your hair tends to get oily and you would like to wash it the day of that is fine but please have it dry in time for the styling. Unfortunately a blow dry is not included in the the price or timing of the updo.
-My hair is exceptionally curly, do you think you can manage it?
We rise to your hair challenge! Having been in this industry for as long as we have, you gain a bit of experience. We can assure you that it is possible for you to have beautiful style for your wedding day. We will discuss all of your hair challenges and what can be done during the consultation.
-Do you guys have a kit fee? If so, exactly what is that for?
A kit fee is an industry standard fee that covers the cost of supplies. We charge $50 per party. This includes the cost of hair products, foundations, bobby pins, etc. The reason we are able to keep our rates low is because we don't incorporate that fee into individual clients fee, we charge as a party. Meaning instead of an updo being priced at $125, we can charge $85 and the $50 kit fee will cover everyones supplies. Please be advised this does not include specialty clips, bobbypin or other hair accessories. You are responsible for providing any hair decoration you prefer.
-Do you have a travel fee?
We serve the greater Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia areas. There is a $50 travel fee for each party. Any wedding more than 50 miles from zipcode 20707 (Laurel, Md) please contact us for travel rates.
-How long should I plan for on the day of my wedding for hair and makeup?
Please plan accordingly, allowing 40-60 mins for your hair styling as well as 45 mins for a your makeup application. For all additional clients, please plan 30-40 for hair as well as 45 mins for makeup application. Since there are a few of us, these times can be arranged for multiple people.
-What if I would only like to have my hair done and not my makeup, is there any way to arrange that?
That is perfectly alright! Although we strongly feel that having you and your wedding party's makeup professionally done can make a significant difference in your wedding photos we understand if you are not interested. In these types of situations, we offer our services al a carte. Although we have a 3 person on-site minimum, services can be mixed and matched.
For example, if you have someone in your wedding party who isn't interested in having their makeup done, we could always substitute their application for a blow out for someone else.
